Search giant Google had quite an event where it launched a slew of products. One of those could be yours. Let’s take a look at Google’s 2020 offerings.
The Pixel 4 Successor
Google announced the Pixel 4’s successor, Pixel 5. It was the highlight of the event. This year, though, there won’t be an XL variant. The device for mainstream consumers doesn’t get mainstream specs since its equipped with a mid-range Snapdragon 765G processor, 8GB RAM, and 128 GB internal storage. It sports a 4,080mAh battery power a 6-inch (2,340 x 1,080), 90 hertz OLED punch-hole display, and the phone.
As for cameras, it has a dual-camera setup. It retains the familiar 12.2MP primary lens while the second is a 16 MP ultrawide angle lens. The selfie shooter is an 8 MP lens. The Pixel 5 supports 5G and is priced at $699, or ₹51,000 roughly.
The $499 (approximately ₹36,000) Pixel 4a 5G comes with 6.2 inches (2,340 x 1,080) OLED display, a Snapdragon 730 processor coupled with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a 3,800mAh battery. It has a 60Hz screen, and it supports 5G. There are two cameras at the back (12 MP+16 MP) and an 8 MP selfie shooter. The Pixel 4a 5G does have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Google Nest Home is a $99 (₹7,200) smart speaker, which is a successor to the Google Home. It looks like a mini-Google Home Max. It has the Google Assistant for voice commands, and the device sports a fabric mesh cover in terms of design.
The new $49 (₹3,500) Chromecast runs Google TV and streams various services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Spotify, etc. It has dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, YouTube, and Netflix. This device directly competes with Amazon’s Fire TV and Apple TV.
Google won’t be launching Pixel 5 in India, and it’s a good decision since no one in their right mind would splurge over ₹50,000 on a midrange Snapdragon Processor.
